In what seems to be a boomshell,
the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Senator Abdullahi Adamu has announced Senate president Ahmad Lawan as party’s consensus presidential candidate.
Adamu, made the announcement at the meeting of the National Working Committee, NWC, on Monday, in Abuja.
This is coming few hours to the primary election in Abuja scheduled to take place at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The choice of Lawan according to Adamu is in consultation with President Buhari, the position that is contrary to the wishes of the 11 APC Northern Governor’s and other apsirants.
The APC Northern Governors had advocated for power shift to the southernmost part of the country after the completion of the the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari.
After the endorsement of the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello was fuming viciously and heard saying he must address the press despite efforts to stop him by his Nasarawa and Borno counterpart.
