The Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris has bagged an award of honour in response to his examplary leadership in the management of the treasury of the Federation and support for the Association.

A Statement by the Director (Information, Press and Public Relations), Henshaw Ogubike said the Tax administrators cited the successes recorded in the implementation of the public financial reform initiatives anchored by the Treasury, support and dedication to the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria(CITN), as some of the justification for the award.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Accountant General of the Federation, Mr. Zubairu Salawu emphasized that the Treasury of the Federation is committed to full implementation of the public financial managements reforms in order to entrench transparency, accountability and efficiency in management of public funds.

While congratulating the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria(CITN) for the successful hosting of the 2021 Tax Week, he also pledged continuous support for the and other professional bodies for the good of the country.
