The former Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Sani became a senator on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) into the eight assembly from 2015 to 2019 but lost his return to Senator Uba Sani, who was sponsored by the Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

He was forced to defect to the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) under which he contested for the 9th senate.

His close aide, Malam Suleiman Ahmed, confirmed his defection after he had a meeting with relevant PDP stakeholders in Kaduna.
