……Sports Minster’s Quick Intervention Averted Imminent Escalation Of Crisis

Miscreants, touts and hoodlums on Sunday disrupted a meeting between the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi,Traditional council and Ogbomoso Parapo.

The meeting was disrupted when the hoodlums attacked the Soun’s palace in Ogbomoso by throwing stones and other objects into the palace before they forcefully gained entrance into the palace.

According to reports security operatives with the Minister rescued, the monarch, his wife, chiefs, journalists and others who were at the meeting without firing smudging.

The miscreants who brought in a dead body to the palace demanded that the monarch should come out which is a taboo according to one of the palace assistants.

The Minister who was with only few security operatives ordered his security operatives not to shoot nor bring out their gun as it will only escalate things.

However, the Police Area Commander provided external security who dispersed the hoodlums who has already vandalised, looted the ancient palace and damaged several vehicles with tear gas.

Contrary to reports flying around, it was the quick intervention of the Sports Minister that made the situation of youths protesting end of #SARS in Ogbomoso not to get out of hand.
As He moved swiftly to call security agencies to come to the rescue of citizens and Soun of Ogbomoso.

The Minister not only rescued the Situation but paid the medical Bill’s of most injured victims in the hospital and promise to ensure peace returns to Ogbomoso land.
