…Executes 3,179 Projects In 2019
The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has reiterated that the All Progressive Congress (APC) led administration is determined to deliver good and affordable housing to Nigerians in order to address the housing deficit in the country.
The Minister stated this in Abuja while briefing the media and giving update on the achievements of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing.
On the Lagos-Badagry Express High Way which is amongst the Trans-national High Ways currently undergoing rehabilitation and reconstruction across the country, Fashola explained that work is being delayed due to the construction of drainages to enhance their lifespan of the road.
He stressed that these roads which helps to facilitate trades between Nigeria and other neighboring African countries are of Paramount importance to the Ministry and the country.
According to him ”a total of 3,179 projects were executed by the Ministry in 2019 alone, adding that the Ministry is also focusing on constructing maternity and Health care Centers, as well as Schools and Classrooms across the country.
Babatunde Fashola further used the opportunity to call on political parties and politicians to keep and adhere to agreements made as a matter of honor, stating that the retention of power in 2023 would largely depend on how well the APC has delivered on it’s electoral promises to Nigerians.
