The Minister of State, Industry Trade and Investment, Amb. Mariam Katagum has applauded the Enjoy Nigeria Expo ANEX 2021 for creating a support vehicle and platform for the promotion and marketing of Nigeria’s Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in creative cultural entertainment and tourism businesses.
The minister said this at the opening ceremony of the maiden edition of Enjoy Nigeria Expo, ENEX 2021 in Abuja with the theme, ‘A future assured through cultural creativity’.
“We have no other country than Nigeria, and only as Nigerians can we truly build the nation of our dreams. This was why the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment was very eager to collaborate with the Welcome to Nigeria Project and several other actors in the public service, in shining the light on the business opportunities that abound in the creative, entertainment, cultural and tourism industries.
“ENEX 2021 is therefore designed to draw the attention of stakeholders in our nation’s creative, cultural, entertainment and tourism sectors, with emphasis on women and youth, and the potentials of the sectors they operate in.
This is expected to assist them to build capacity in their respective businesses, as well as show them the various ways that they can turn their simple arts and skills into high revenue earners. This forum is also expected to draw the attention of the world to the fact that Nigeria has a lot of untapped potentials where investments can be made with high returns”, she said.
In his opening remarks, the president/ founder of welcome to EnjoyNigeria Expo, Yusuf Sago said the idea behind the expo is aimed connecting SMEs to do business with the world; From the rural area to the urban, all connected to one market.
Sago also said the expo will create a platform for networking and showcasing Nigeria to the entire world.
