The minister of State Power Goddy Jeddy Agba has formally welcomed the Cross River State Governor  Sir, Ben Ayade into the All Progressive Congress APC. 
The minister said the defection of the governor into the APC shows clearly that democracy is advancing in Cross River. 

In a statement by the special Assistant to the Minister on media and communications strategy Mr. Ofem Uket, the minister assured the Governor of the party’s support to enable him drive the process of growth and development in the state. 

According to Agba, the political structures of the APC in the state are adequate to win future elections, saying politics is a game of numbers.
Stressing that the party now has political control at the state and national levels. 

The Governor of Cross River State Sir, Ben Ayade had on Thursday  defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress APC, using performance and developing state and federal infrastructure by the present administration as measurement and standards of attraction for his defection.
