The Chairman, NUJ FCT Chapter , Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche has charged members of the Cross River State Journalists Forum, Abuja not to relent in holding political office seekers in the state accountable.
According to a statement made available to journalists and jointly signed by the Crossjof Chairman, Ignatius Ushie and the Secretary Francisca Ogar,
Ogbeche gave the charge while receiving the newly elected executive of the Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF in his office in Abuja.
The Chairman, assured the team of his support and adviced them to embrace teamwork as that is the secret of his administration’s success.
He also stressed the need for growth and urged the incoming Exco to do all it can to enhance professional practice.
Earlier, Secretary of FCT NUJ, Ochiaka Agwu while welcoming the Exco ,congratulated them and applauded the forum for the peaceful conduct of the election which he monitored.
Speaking earlier,the Chairman CrossJof, Comrade Ignatius Ushie appreciated the NUJ chairman for his leadership role and support for journalists in the FCT.
He said the purpose of the visit was to introduce the Exco and solicit for support and guidance from the leadership of the NUJ FCT.
As He lauded the leadership style of the Chairman and his team which he said is result oriented and promised to walk in his footsteps.
Presenting a vote of thanks on behalf of the Exco,the secretary CrossJof, Mrs Francisca Ogar appreciated the Chairman for the audience and his open door policy. She assured him that the Exco would live up to expectations and promised that training opportunities for journalists extended to members would not be taken for granted.
Other members of the CrossJof Exco present at the visit are, Lulu Bankong Vice Chairman,Idara Ukpanyang Treasurer, Wofai Ibor financial secretary and Nten Ekpang public relations Officer.
