The Federal Government has ordered the reopening of all schools in Nigeria specifically the 104 unity colleges.
The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, made the announcement during a press briefing Friday in Abuja.
He advised all institutions to obey and adhere to the guidelines for the covid -19 protocols for reopening of schools as earlier announced by the presidential task force.
According to him all unity schools should open by October 12 as measures have been adequately put in place for the safety of students.
Adamu said, states and private schools will determine their own modalities for reopening.” as some of the States have already commence academic activities after due consideration by relevant stakeholders.
Government ordered the closure of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools nationwide following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the country in March.
